New Mills is probably the most unique town in the area. It’s got this wonderful, creative grit, built right over the dramatic Torrs gorge. Walking the Millennium Walkway never gets old.

We love the independent spirit here, you see it in places like A Tavola with their authentic Sicilian soul or the friendly welcome at On The Bridge café. The New Mills Festival in September is a must-see; the lantern procession through the gorge is genuinely breathtaking. With New Mills School and various primary options, it’s a town that really looks after its own.
