Energy Performance Certificates

A mandatory requirement when a home is offered for sale or rent

The Energy Performance Certificate also known as EPC is designed to give purchasers and tenants a clear picture of the property’s energy efficiency and level of carbon emissions. The EPC should be available to view within 7 days of marketing the property. All rental properties need to have a minimum energy performance rating of E.

The EPC also recommends improvements such as loft insulation to reduce energy use and gives examples of potential cost savings. The EPC can be carried out by our own in house Energy Assessor.
